STEM Leader in the Making

Benjamin and his mBot at the Aug. Board Meeting.

The Temple Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors had a special guest at their August meeting, an exceptional young Temple leader, Benjamin Hall.

Benjamin, is a fourth grader at Temple ISD’s Western Hills Elementary.

Earlier this year, the community and Temple Chamber of Commerce foundation, Temple Futures, rallied behind Benjamin to enable him to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Academy this past summer.

Benjamin shared his experience with the Chamber Board, and showcased a variety of projects, including the mBot he built and programmed to be controlled from a mobile phone.
