Public policy influences business success, workforce development, economic growth and quality of place. The Temple Chamber of Commerce engages in advocacy in support of the business community by promoting initiatives, partnerships and public policy positions.
The Chamber is focused on efforts to preserve, protect and promote a business friendly environment free of obstacles to growth and development, and advocates for pro-business public policy and a regulatory climate supportive of business growth, economic viability and sustainability for all types and sizes of business in our service area.
The Chamber offers a subscription based program, the Public Policy Council, that provides subscribers a direct connection for all matters dealing with local, state and federal legislative and regulatory advocacy. The council works to advance public policy to strengthen private enterprise, improve the regions economic climate and quality of life. It also works to stimulate a competitive pro-business climate for Central Texas.
The Public Policy Council provides a luncheon series throughout the year, available to the membership and community, as opportunities to inform, educate and communicate information vital to the ever-changing and evolving business environment.
