If you weren’t able to make it to last week’s SizeUp Temple Launch & Ribbon Cutting at the Temple Chamber office, here’s what you missed… The Temple Chamber of Commerce officially unveiled SizeUp Temple, a powerful new online tool that gives local entrepreneurs and business owners access to the kind of data and insights once reserved for large corporations. Now live on our website, SizeUp Temple helps businesses make smarter, data-driven decisions—whether you’re comparing your performance against competitors, identifying potential customers and suppliers, finding the best locations for expansion, or targeting your ideal audience. “In today’s information economy, if you don’t have access to data, your business is at a disadvantage,” said Whitney Theriot, President & CEO of the Temple Chamber of Commerce. “With SizeUp Temple, we’re leveling the playing field for small businesses and empowering them to make data-driven decisions that strengthen our local economy.” A big thank-you goes to J.R. Charles with SizeUp for joining us for an engaging live demonstration of this powerful tool. Attendees saw firsthand how local businesses can use SizeUp Temple to uncover opportunities, benchmark performance, and explore detailed market insights tailored to Temple and Bell County. This resource is available free of charge through the Chamber’s Small Business Connect Initiative, supported by our sponsors: Extraco Banks, McLane Intelligent Solutions, City of Temple, McLane Company, and Meta Small businesses are vital to the prosperity of our community. They represent over 99% of all U.S. companies and create the majority of new private-sector jobs. Tools like SizeUp Temple ensure that those businesses have access to the same level of intelligence and opportunity as their larger counterparts.
Now it’s your turn—take it for a spin! Explore SizeUp Temple today at www.templechamber.com/sizeuptemple

The Temple Chamber of Commerce continues to invest in professional growth and national engagement. In early June, Bobbie Jo Young, Director of Membership Development, traveled to Madison, Wisconsin, to attend the Institute for Organization Management (IOM)—a premier training program by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Bobbie Jo proudly completed year one of the four-year certification program, which is widely recognized as the gold standard in nonprofit and Chamber leadership. The curriculum equips participants with critical tools in organizational strategy, financial stewardship, membership development, and ethical governance. Her attendance follows in the footsteps of Temple Chamber President & CEO, Whitney Theriot, an IOM graduate herself and reflects the Chamber’s strong commitment to ongoing professional development and excellence in service. Throughout the week, Bobbie Jo participated in expert-led courses on member recruitment and retention, human resources, communications, financial management, and volunteer engagement. Beyond the classroom, she began cultivating a national network of Chamber and Association professionals, exchanging ideas and learning from best practices across the country. Now back in Temple, Bobbie Jo is already applying insights from the program and preparing to rejoin her cohort for Year Two in 2026. The future is bright for the Temple Chamber—and it’s powered by professional growth, collaboration, and innovation. “The Midwest IOM experience was more than just training—it was transformational. I came back not just with new tools, but with a bigger vision for how we can elevate our Chamber and better serve our Members. I’m already excited for Year Two!” |
